Dubai Municipality

Dubai Municipality is one of the largest governmental institutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which was established in 1974. It is considered as one of Dubai’s leading growth and development institutions in terms of its smart projects and services. Dubai Municipality’s organizational structure includes two sectors and four government agencies with more than 11,000 employees. The two sectors are: Planning & Governance and Corporate Support Services. The four agencies are: Public Facilities, Buildings Regulation & Permits, Waste & Sewage and Environment, Health & Safety agency. Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department under the Public Facilities agency is operating all the parks and landmarks under Dubai Municipality. They host more than 25 million visitors annually. There are 5 large public parks, +180 neighborhood parks & pond parks, open green spaces, sports fields, green spaces with exercise equipment, and specialty facilities such as Children’s City and Quranic Park in addition to Dubai Frame and Dubai Safari Park. The department recently opened a new experience to the public who like adventures which is Mountain Bike Track in Mushrif National Park.
